3 Obiect Produse
ATENTIE: Ultimele bucati in stoc!
The coffee Dario Corredor is part of the La Palma y El Tucan Neighbors and Crops program. For this project, a highly trained team of La Palma y El Tucan’s pickers picks the ripe cherries and chooses which of these cherries will be used. The processing of the coffee takes place in the La Palma y El Tucan facilities, in a new washing station within a farm with perfect ergonomy. This particular processing station includes elevated beds for the drying of the coffee, uses solar energy in order to save resources and has an up to date mechanical drum for the final drying of the coffee. Coffee production is Dario’s latest feat. His farm, Goyescas, is cultivated with not only Castillo varietals but also fruits. From entering his farm you can sense the feminine touch as his wife takes care of the exotic flowers. There is a wonderful balance on the property full of vegetation and life. = Dario tells us that cultivating coffee in Payacal has been difficult due to the proximity of Bogota to the region. He comments that many people have changed professions from agriculture into tourism and service industry. Every year, it seems that it is more and more difficult to find small traditional farmers. Luckily, he believes that the Neighbors & Crops program of La Palma Y El Tucan is providing a lot of help by making coffee cultivation easier for micro producers like himself. La Palma y El Tucan has created a very innovative lab, in which the people of the farm conduct the necessary quality controls required in every stage. La Palma y El Tucan experiments with new fermentation methods. We are extremely proud of this cooperation with La Palma y El Tucan, which is part of our direct relationship coffees model.
